I have this funny tradition (details here) of licking bells whenever I come upon them. Â I have pretty well exhausted the supply in Charleston, so you can imagine my delight when we happened upon one at the state capitol building! Â I am travelling with a co-worker so he chronicled the event though I am pretty sure has serious reservations about me in general now.
Normally, I might have hesitated licking a bell in Denver in December but today, for instance, it is supposed to be in the 60s! Â My tongue was safe (from freezing anyhow)! Â I have conquered Denver’s bell and it didn’t taste half bad!
Denver seems to have a lot of artistic installations. Â I can’t pretend to understand all of them, but I did enjoy adding my own little something special to a few of them.
Also, we saw a squirrel…

Did you lick the squirrel too ???
As soon as I saw the title, I said: “Oh no, he’s going to lick the bell!”
Hmmmm… wondering what bells we have around here. If you came to So Cal, I would want to be sure it was a worthwhile visit!
I’m glad you found a bell to lick! You are too funny! lol I’m sure you scared your co worker half to death! I hope you at least had separate rooms! lol
