I have a crush

My blog friend June Cleaver has an serious obsession with movie stars and I have to admit, I have a bit of a crush myself.  I have been reading the Twilight series of books so I could figure out why Emily was all the time dreamy-eyed.  She kept saying the name “Edward” in her sleep and I was beginning to get a bit of a complex.  I cracked the first book and I have to admit, I get her obsession.  In fact, my crush on Edward has now surpassed hers and I mumble his name in my sleep too…Emily has recordings of me so I will deny no longer…I have a huge man-crush on Edward Cullen!

(somewhat cool?)

(GROSS!)

Ok, so I am not the first person to have a crush on Edward.  There are tons of fans sites and many (way too many if you ask me) people have Twilight-inspired tattoos.  I laugh at those folks though.  Edward is a purist…he doesn’t want all that body art!

Ok, so I am bodering on gross here, but I really like the books.  The other thing I have to tell you is that I bought the movie soundtrack.  I liked the movie pretty well, but of course, it pales in comparison to the books.  Anyhow, the movie also has an awesome soundtrack.  I am no soundtrack guy, but this one is excellent!  We have been listening to it a lot lately and Emily and I dance around to it even more than the kids do I think.  It rocks!

So, here are a few selections from the soundtrack…

I love you Edward…call me!

Funny. We just watched the movie last night…pretty sappy teen stuff, but now I, too, love Edward. Dreamy siggggghhhhhh.
And to think, I used to think Jacob was waaaay hotter. Funny how different print and film can be.
But, did ya notice how purdy Oregon is?!! One gets to see the world famous Columbia Gorge, the magnificent Oregon Coast and one of Oregon’s top tourist destinations, Multnomah Falls, in the movie.

I still think I’m more of a Jacob girl than an Edward girl. Jacob likes to break all the rules!!!

LOL! I guess I’m going to have to check out these books and movie before too long – everyone’s talking about them and I have no clue!

Snap out of it Man, get a grip!!!!

I just can’t get over the fact that the guy who plays Edward doesn’t bathe and wash his hair. In NO WAY could I have a crush on that.

Farmgirl_dk – Oregon does look pretty…pretty rainy! But yes, pretty. See what I mean about Edward…oh my!

Emily – you can add him to your “list”…is he legal yet?

Capri Kel – yeah…gross. I have no such crush on Robert Pattinson…but Edward…hubba hubba!

ETW – the movie and books are both good…and a fast read if you like to read…

I dunno why, but the tale of your bro-mance may be the first convincing bit to tempt me in to reading the book(s).

  • Comment from warren

Natalie – oh definitely do read the first one anyhow!

Jacob improves in previews of the next movie if you lean that way…you may have to fight my wife though!

Its Jacob all the way. Even his name sounds nice. See? jacob.

And I have to say that the beauty of Oregon completes the movie. (and Im not just saying that because my BFF lives there.)

I came back here to give a small gift, shall we say, to Warren *and* Angie. See? Sometimes we CAN have it all: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/05/robert-pattinson-and-hugh-jackman-star-together

I have to agree, I’m a Jacob girl. I have not read the books yet, even though I own the first two haha! I have loaned them out to a friend.

I’m reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, which is like Twilight for adults. Nothing teenish about them.

I just didn’t care for the actor who portrayed Jacob in the movie…in my opinion, he didn’t carry any bit of the heat that Jacob-in-the-book did. Sookie Stackhouse…is that the series that the HBO series “true blood” or something like that is based on?

    Jacob does sound nice…but he’s so…hairy…

Anyhow, can’t wait for the movie with Wolverine and Edward together. And besides, they probably didn’t wash their hair all that much in 1860 so Robert/Edward will be right in character!

Sookie Stackhouse, eh? Adult books? Hmmm…Cool! I will have to have a look!

    I bet we’ll see Jacob’s heat in the 2nd movie…that’s where he came alive anyhow…I can’t wait!!

  • Comment from Erica

Yes, it’s the True Blood series. it’s not and *adult book* in that sense, but certainly not for teenagers lol!! I’m on the 3rd book now.

I believe they are replacing Jacob for the second movie too, so we will see. I want to get the books read before the second movie comes out lol!
