YD – My rates are pretty tough!

farm mom – that’s all I really want…compliments!

loretta – lentils! You eat lentils! Anyhow, my rates are pretty high…and my travel expenses are ridiculous!

ETW – yeah, we’ve never had a house with “stock” windows. We usually do them a few at a time as money works out. I am all about the cheap!

Emily – you are brilliant at your job…

frugalmom – that jack only holds up a small area…I think I read that a square foot of a typical house weighs 600 pounds (though don’t quote me on that), so a 2-ton jack easily carries that weight. I don’t know why you don’t get the love…everyone else does…

Ummm, what Ang said. It does look great tho…but I was a little concerned to see that tiny jack holding up that great big house….

Also, I have to say that Emily has a very important job. To be taken very seriously.

You left out the most important part – the nagging of the wife! Without the proper amount of nagging, the project never gets started. That’s my contribution to our home improvement projects and I take it very seriously

Our house was built in 1956. It's solid as a rock, but had the old aluminum windows original to the house. We have some odd sized windows, so I just hired someone (a company) to replace 18 of them all at once. It's really made a difference, both in appearance and efficiency.
